In this special service, for the first time in our 10-year history, we ordain three new deacons and set them apart for this special ministry assignment to serve the Bride of Christ. In this service, there are two challenges offered. One challenge from Brother Pat Bickham gives a charge to the deacons as a faithful deacon of over 50 years. Then Pastor Ralph Green brings a challenge to the church to be a Spirit-filled church as we see in Acts 6:1-8. The service concludes with "laying on of hands" where the new deacons are prayed over and the laying on of hands symbolizes God having His hands on these men.
