The prophet Haggai is the first minor prophet to speak to God's people after the Babylonian exile, around 100 years after the prophet Zephaniah. The major message of the prophet Haggai was that God said the Children of Israel needed to get to work to finish rebuilding His temple. It was a case of misplaced priorities as they were putting their own needs ahead of Gods. This message encourages us that when we put God first, He promises He is with us and will bless our work for Him.
